About Dr. Thompson

Dr. Thompson is a North Carolina and Florida-licensed cognitive-behavioral psychologist who provides individual cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for geriatrics, adults, and adolescents. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a doctoral degree in Psychology. He completed his internship in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, specializing in Neuropsychology. Dr. Thompson also completed advanced training in Clinical Neuropsychology during a formal two-year postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island.

In addition to working in clinical and research settings, Dr. Thompson has published articles in the field of neuropsychology. He is also an author of a published neuropsychological test instrument and has university teaching experience.

Dr. Thompson has maintained a private practice since 2000. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
